The Committee on Ethics (Committee) appointed a bipartisan working group to review and make recommendations to improve, clarify, and modernize the Committee’s guidance regarding campaign activity by House Members, officers, and employees. The Working Group consists of Representative Nathaniel Moran and Representative Sylvia R. Garcia.
The Working Group welcomes input from Members, officers, and employees of the House and the public during the Working Group’s tenure. To that end, members of the public who wish to comment on the Committee’s campaign activity guidance are encouraged to submit written comments to the Working Group. Topics may include recommendations for clarifying or modifying the Committee’s rules or guidance regarding the use of campaign resources, the use of official resources for campaign purposes, and staff or Members engaging in campaign activity or fundraising.
The Working Group will accept written comments electronically (Word or PDF format only) at Ethics.Comments@mail.house.gov, or by delivery to the Committee at 1015 Longworth House Office Building, Washington, DC 20515. Comments must be limited to 10 double-spaced, single-sided pages, and the Committee must receive submissions no later than 6:00 p.m. EDT on August 29, 2025.
