Pursuant to House Rule XI, clause 3(b)(8)(A), and Committee Rules 17A(b)(1)(A), 17A(c)(1), and 17A(j), the Chairman and Ranking Member of the Committee on Ethics (Committee) have jointly decided to extend the matter regarding Representative Luis V. Gutiérrez, which was transmitted to the Committee by the Office of Congressional Ethics on December 4, 2013.
Chairman K. Michael Conaway and Ranking Member Linda T. Sánchez are pleased to announce the selection of Thomas A. Rust as Staff Director and Chief Counsel of the Committee on Ethics. The Committee unanimously agreed to the appointment of Mr. Rust, who is already employed by the Committee, effective today.
